We have really good news: last week the doctor called Ryan to let him know that the results from the biopsy came out clean! We were so relieved and surprised/happy to get the news so quickly! He has also been able to pass a couple of test that count towards his job training.
On the other hand my dad came to visit this last week. He met Abby last year when she was 4 months. We had a great time and got to go to the zoo and work on some house project's I needed some help with and took lots of walks to the park so Abby could play. Last time he was here him and Abby bonded really well. This time though, Abby was a little harder to convince. She would let him put on her shoes and occasionally read a book to her. She is at that age where stranger anxiety is still at the forefront of her mind. She was also teething (13 teeth now!) so that could explain the crankiness too.
It seems that all of a sudden Abby's vocabulary has taken off. She recently learned more of her body parts in Spanish and has started to put 2-3 words together to express her desires. It is funny though, how she doesn't understand pronouns yet, so when she wants to go for a walk she jumps on her stroller and says: "push you". Probably because she used to sit there and cry, so I would ask her: "do you want me to push you?". And if you sneeze, she will sneeze with you and then say :"bless you" :)
I am really excited because in about a week or so, we will start swimming lessons with my other mom friends and their babies. It is so nice to finally have a swimming pool available so Abby can learn how to swim. This week we got some cold front and the weather went from 100 to 57 degrees within days. So we haven't been able to swim lately.
This week we had to change our licence plates :( to Idaho ones on the Saturn. I was so sad. We still have the CA plates on the truck for a little while longer....ha, ha!
Anyway, hope you all are doing well and thank you for your comments, I always like to get them :)
