happy new year!

hope you all had a great beginning to this new year! we certainly did :) we got to spend the evening w/ our super awesome friends the dull's (who by the way are everything but dull :)). abby was ecstatic to get to see her friend kenny but most of all it was a real treat that our family was together!

ryan and i also celebrated our 10th aniversary....wow! that one really did creep up on me! maybe bcs i had already resigned myself to spend it alone. abby spent the day w/ her friend kenny and ryan and i took off to boise to spend a quiet and relaxing afternoon/evening. we even got to sit at a coffee shop and enjoy the sound of silence :)

abby will be celebrating her 3rd b-day and i am SO excited! i am enjoying her so much more now....i love it! her latest thing is to put on her super man cape she got at her friend's party this summer and say: "mami, i'm prince phillip.....i'm gonna rescue aurora w/ my sword and my shield from the mean dragon!" i thought it was interesting she chose to be phillip instead of the princess :) so yeah, she likes dinosaurs, thomas the train and friends (thanks to kenny), and monster trucks (also thanks to kenny). i don't mind it at all!

this last weekend her daddy got her a twin mattress bcs the child has grown so much she wasn't fitting in her toddler bed anymore. for now she is using a frame for her mattress, it actually all looks pretty cute w/ the sheets, comforter and all, so we may just do that (cheaper too!).

i know pictures make this more fun and interesting but as you all know our camera took a leave of absence. when we got back home i looked at the warranty papers and thank goodness it was still under warranty. so i sent it to sony and it is on it's way back to us (12th~ish).....fixed! for free! (except for the S&H) sooooo we'll have pictures soon :)

as far as germany goes.....i'm getting more excited! (total answer to prayer). we have to be there by the end of april but can leave up to 30 days prior to our report date (april 30th) and mr. ryan wants to go ASAP, so we will leave late march/ early april. for now we are trying to figure out what to take, not take and store for when we get back. (jessica i need to see you so you can fill me in on what is best to do).

ryan is off the whole month....can you believe it! and it has been great! there is so much to get done before the big move and we've been chipping away at it all. we've also been working out together on base. it is a pain to have to drive all the way to the base for that so we have decided that we will live on base in germany just for that reason! and abs, she comes along w/ us and plays in the little enclosed area while we sweat!

last but not least i wanted to thank you all for the letters, pictures, cards you all sent for x-mas. (tanja i did get your card :)). i didn't have time or a camera to get a picture of our family much less mass mail it to everyone, so like last year i'll send it out sometime in the next couple of months.

anyway, not much else is new around here...back to wal-mart land, lots of snow, but happy 100%!
