busy day

my happy, easy going girl lost it today...she is getting two teeth. getting teeth in sets of two is starting to be a pattern. oh! and she is not getting the two top middle teeth but the ones on either side of those. so now i will have a vampire looking 8 month old. great!

abby is done w/ ballet much to her relief. she had finally started to participate and seemed to enjoy herself during class. so i asked her when we got home on tuesday if she was 100% sure she did not want to do ballet again. her response: definitely NOT! so the next activity will be swimming. she is not 100% on this one either. i guess you could say i am kind of making her do it. ryan and i feel it is important for her to learn this skill. in the mean time i am keeping my eyes peeled for any art classes. she seems to have a knack for art and music. she's got a guitar, a pink one, the bx didn't have a blue one and the blue ones at the MOMS store are too big. today i got her a harmonica. a huge hit. so we'll see what the God given inclinations bring!

i on the other hand am very excited that this long weekend coming up will not be a lonely one for me. mother's day was bad enough :( my friends ines and crystal will be spending it w/ us! if all goes as planned (never does, but one can hope) i plan to finally get abby some locally harvested honey so the allergies won't come back to visit us AND i've been wanting to find me one of those torches so i can burn all the weeds that grow in between the cracks on our patio, driveway, etc. here in germany we can't use chemicals. i want to go w/ ines bcs i'm a chicken at venturing into german shopping places (ines is german). oh! and i need the biodegradable bags so we can throw away our food waste....so there you go ines and crystal. that's the menu...that and a lot of catching up on some girl talk!

totally off the subject: i have tons (literally) of my milk in my freezer (soon to be dumped). apparently it is helpful to cancer patients (not sure how exactly). so if anyone knows of anyone who would like to try this very alternative (gross...i can't bring myself to drink it, so i don't blame you if you need to stop reading) way of treating cancer let me know. last week i threw away a good 60 ounces. anyway.....moving on
