mami armes and the joys of school

somehow i've missed talking to abby about her last name. now that she is in school the subject came up since i had to label a few of her things and i knew she would notice. i told her that everyone has a name and a last name so she goes: "oh! so your name is mami armes and daddy's name is daddy armes". ryan and i had a good chuckle over that one!

and yes, school has officially started! we went for an orientation day on wed. she went to class w/ her teacher and "little friends" for about 45 mins while us parents stayed at the auditorium. it was kind of a chaotic day and she shed a few tears when i left her but quickly got over the whole thing once things calmed down. her teacher is super nice and happens to have gotten here the same time we did AND she lived right next door to us at the stinky hotel room we had to live in until we could move into our house. she remembered abby and i and was happy that abby is in her class! friday she went to school again and she was very proud of herself bcs she was very brave and didn't cry for her teacher....i was very proud of her too!

so now i get all kinds of stories about how her "little dark friend" tried to take her bow off and put it on his head, but he was being silly bcs boys don't wear bows. or how her other "little friend" was probably having a bad day bcs she wasn't sharing the truck she wanted to play w/.

well, i'm getting sleepy and nauseus so i better close. should get my cesarean date this week. my hospital bags are packed. the car seat is ready to go. and abby is totally excited for her sister to come!
