while i'm at it...

i'm making backup disks of all our our pictures since feb. so i thought this would be a good opportunity to sit down and write some. i've been pretty good about keeping up with this tedious job since we had that awful scare in the fall with our computer. thankfully we didn't loose anything, but i'm not taking any chances now!
we just got through a couple of tough weeks with ryan and abby sick. somehow, i skipped it all, by the grace of God and thanks to colloidal silver (go ahead roll your eyes, i'm used to it!).
i've been having a ton of fun shopping with miss drama (that is my name for her now...ryan says she is hormonal :), i say it is too early for that!). she didn't have any play clothes for this summer, so i took her shopping and we have been having a blast looking for good deals on cute clothes :) abby enjoys taking things off the racks and saying: "look at this mama, this is cute". she has also mastered the art of jumping and loves to do it on our bed the best. ryan got her a swing set that she won't touch, so we are hoping that with time she will warm up to it. we are also very excited to get to go to the pool soon and to take some swimming lessons :) (i still need to sign her up AND i need to find a swimming suit that covers all the flab).
i on the other hand just got through a torturous session at the orthodontist ....usually i am in pain when i get new rubber bands, but can eat a few things. now, i am in so much pain i had to have a boiled egg (i hate boiled eggs, but i was starving!) for lunch. anyway, this time i got an extra set of metal bands on the only four molars that were left untouched in my mouth. i keep reminding myself that i should be done between aug and dec of this year!!! i don't even know how it will feel not to have so much metal in my mouth :)
ryan has been working like crazy lately, lots of early shows and late evenings at work. what keeps him going is the prospect of being a civilian soon...on the other hand he turned 32 this month! we were going to go on a hiking trip but abby got really sick, so we'll definitely have to do it soon. he also had his second date with abby this month while i took a day to myself! abby has such a blast with him, her favorite part is that she ends up convincing him to take her to chuck e cheese :)
i do have pictures, but don't want to clog up the computer too much while i make these backup disks. so for now, you all just get to read :) hope you are all doing great and have a good memorial weekend!
